Soil depletion, excessive irrigation, use of harmful pesticides, and use of fertilizer causing nitrogen runoff, are some of the horrible practices being used that are destroying our environment and causing low nutrient foods.
This can be completely eliminated by using regenerative and organic farming. Regenerative farming can decrease global warming by creating a carbon neutral or even carbon negative environments.
“Almost 73 percent of the members of the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry and 90 percent of the House Agricultural Committee receive donations from Monsanto (Bayer) and Syngenta. If you add in all other food and agriculture companies, 100 percent of the members would have received donations” (Food Fix, Mark Hyman MD). Taxpayers pay for food stamp programs and the main “food” bought with food stamps is soda - this is not the consumers fault; this is the product of a corrupt food system. If this doesn’t make you wonder why we have an upside down food system then read more in this article
High fructose corn syrup, sugar, ultra refined starches/flours, trans fats, rancid refined seed oils, pesticides, and the lack of consuming whole foods are causing this country to be riddled with chronic disease. If we cut out added sugars alone, we would help decrease the diabetes epidemic. In 2018, 34.2 million, or 10.5% of Americans had diabetes. 1.5 million Americans each year are diagnosed with diabetes. Diabetes cost over 327 billion dollars a year in America alone.
We believe in promoting healthy lifestyles and sharing more educational information about the importance of eating organic/regenerative raised food so we can help stop the epidemic of chronic disease.
We use organic ingredients for multiple reasons; we know the harmful impact of ingesting pesticides, the negative environmental impact of pesticides, and the corruption the pesticide companies cause in our food system.
You can make a huge impact by choosing only organic foods/ingredients. One of our goals in the very near future is to get certified “organic” through a third party company and build on our goal of transparency to the consumer.
Every manufacturer has approximately 1 to 10% waste after making the products you eat on a daily basis. Most (if not all) of that waste is never used and ends up in landfill. The broken down waste releases gas (methane) that contributes to climate change.
We are actively donating our waste to a local farm to help feed their farm animals.
We are actively working with a company to bring 100% compostable packaging in Q1 of 2022. We are extremely excited to have compostable packaging to actively reduce the amount of plastic that accumulates every year in our landfills and oceans. Keep your eye out for our launch of compostable packaging!!
We are partnering with and donating a portion of our profits to regenerative non-profit organizations who educate and support farmers in their transition to regenerative agricultural.
We put together a comprehensive email to provide home gardeners all the tools they need to create a regenerative garden. We want to impact the world on a grassroots level by encouraging and helping urban/suburban citizens grow their own nutrient dense food.
As we grow larger we will switch to using smart technology and manufacturing processes such as solar powered machinery, recycled water, and even a bioreactor to supply 100% of our energy to run our manufacturing practices.
Our goal for KRAM is to use all regenerative ingredients (where possible) in our product to provide the best nutrition and at the same time help eliminate climate change, soil erosion, and our carbon footprint in this world. We have already begun developing great relationships with suppliers of regenerative ingredients and are excited to make the switch in the near future.
